Three Little Pigs (아기 돼지 삼형제)
Once upon a time, in a far-off land, there lived three little pigs.
옛날에, 먼 나라에, 세 마리의 아기 돼지가 살고 있었어요.
They were ready to leave home and start a new life.
그들은 집을 떠나 새로운 삶을 시작할 준비가 되어 있었어요.
The first little pig built a house of straw, thinking it would be quick and easy.
첫 번째 아기 돼지는 짚으로 집을 지었어요, 그것이 빠르고 쉬울 것이라고 생각했기 때문이예요.
The second little pig built a house of sticks, thinking it would be stronger than straw.
둘째 아기 돼지는 짚보다 튼튼할 거라고 생각하면서 막대기로 집을 지었어요.
The third little pig was smart, and he built a house of bricks, knowing it would be the strongest.
셋째 아기 돼지는 똑똑했고, 벽돌 집이 가장 튼튼할 것이라고 생각 해서 벽돌로 집을 지었어요.
One day, a big, bad wolf came to the straw house and said, "Little pig, little pig, let me in!"
어느 날, 크고 나쁜 늑대가 짚으로 만든 집에 와서 말했어요 "작은 돼지야, 작은 돼지야, 나 좀 들여보내줄래!"
The little pig refused to let the wolf in, so the wolf blew the house down with a big gust of breath.
어린 돼지는 늑대를 안으로 들여보내는 것을 거부했고, 그래서 늑대는 크게 숨을 몰아쉬며 집을 날려버어요.
The little pig ran to the stick house of the second little pig, but the wolf followed him there.
어린 돼지는 둘째 돼지의 막대기 집으로 달려갔고 늑대는 그를 뒤쫓아갔어요.
The wolf blew the stick house down too, and both little pigs ran to the brick house of the third little pig.
늑대는 막대기 집도 날려버렸고, 두 마리의 작은 돼지들은 셋째 돼지의 벽돌집으로 달려갔어요.
The wolf couldn't blow the brick house down, so he climbed onto the roof to try and come down the chimney.
늑대는 벽돌집을 날려버릴 수 없었고, 그래서 굴뚝을 내려오려고 지붕 위로 올라갔어요.
But the smart little pig had put a pot of boiling water on the fire, and when the wolf came down the chimney, he fell into the pot!
하지만 영리한 작은 돼지는 끓는 물이 담긴 냄비를 불 위에 올려놓았고, 늑대가 굴뚝에서 내려왔을 때, 그는 냄비에 떨어졌어요!
The wolf ran away, never to be seen again, and the three little pigs were safe in their brick house.
늑대는 도망쳤고, 다시는 볼 수 없었고, 세 마리의 아기 돼지들은 벽돌집에서 안전할 수 있었어요.
They lived happily ever after, and the smart little pig was praised for his wisdom and bravery.
그들은 행복하게 살았고, 그 영리한 아기 돼지는 그의 지혜와 용감함으로 칭찬을 받았답니다.
